Help wanted: X200 fan error in Chesapeake

My daughter is sitting in Chesapeake with X200 and fan error. Normally it is no problem to solve this error but now the distance Germany - VA is the handicap. So I am looking for a nice guy who can have a look at the X200 and get the fan running.

I feel like you should buy a new fan. My mom's X220 also had the same problem but with a heatsink replaced by myself, it works just fine. There are infinite numbers of tutorials online on YouTube teaching you how to do so.

I'm sure a lot of us would be willing to help but we're not in Chesapeake.
Here's an alternate solution.

If she's got any guy friends who are handy:
1. have a new fan, thermal paste and rubbing alcohol sent to her,
2. dig up a decent how-to replace x200 fan video on youtube and a second short 'how to apply a rice sized dab of thermal paste' video
3. send them HMM
4. call in and provide real-time phone/video support
