Minimum Lenovo software for functionality of keys etc.

I recently purchased a T420 and now have a T530 coming. The 420 needed a fresh install of windows 7 which I did and before Windows started doing updates I updated drivers with Driver Booster. I then updated to windows 10 and all is working well.
I am using a Samsung 250(about)gig 480 pro SSD and the system is very quick.

I am wondering about what software if any to install from Lenovo, I am really only interested in ones that bring the basic functionality to the hardware as I prefer to use my own set of favorite maintenance freeware.

I was trying to get the webcam to work and installed drivers from Lenovo then another package that seemed relevant but I got notices I needed to purchase ( or at least download) a windows 10 app to use the Fn key for turning on and off the camera. I immediately uninstalled everything but the driver as I don't use any windows 10 "apps" or anything "metro" (for the time being ,and thanks to Classic Shell ! ) It turns out the camera does work I just needed to install flash to do an online test and I think I can turn it on and off from windows but I haven't found that yet.

Are there any recommendations or links to similar requests? I did search around here a bit.
