AC Adapter from new T43p...

#1 Post by redrumchoy » Thu Jun 09, 2005 6:35 pm

How far in does the extension cord thing with the power fork go into the actual adapter brick?? The connection between the brick and the cord looks like it only goes in about half way and only with a little strength...

Normal?

Mine is the same. Goes in about 2/3 then stops. First time it went in, I heard a little "click", I thought I broke it.

I think its just a snug connection. Kinda like France and the UN

I have never found a device where the plug actually went all of the way in. I guess that they simply didn't design it that way.

Actually, this is the first device I've seen that didn't go all the way. I just sorta gave up shoving it when I realized that (1) the thinkpad got power and (2) it was far enough in to not be a fire hazard, though it did stump me for a minute.
