Check out this page...

If you bump into a decent UXGA screen, I've got plenty of A3xp cables that you can have for the price of shipping. Fairly certain that I don't have a single SXGA+ one left.
The connector on my A30 is around 5-7cm long, how about your A31p?
Let me make this easy for you: you can use almost any ThinkPad IPS screen (A3x, T4x, R5x, T60/p) on an A3x as long as you've matched it with a proper A3x cable. Depending on what panel you end up using, you may or may not have to finagle with the cable fitting and/or sponge bumpers.
I have a 14.1" SXGA+ and a 15" XGA + cable for T43 lying around and I do not know which one of them can I make use of
These cables are worthless if you're dealing with an A3x planar.

Wel I do have a UXGA display that is currently on my T43 and the seller is still selling them. So do you think that would at least work with your cable and my existing inverter? I know I have to add sponge and stuff

Also if you have any UXGA cable for 15" T43 that would be much appreciated as well

Yes, it will work. You need a different inverter, though and I don't have any to spare. I can't recall what finagling *exactly* is required with the cable, but am almost certain that you'll have to go through some.

I'll have to look. If I do, these won't go for just the cost of shipping. Will let you know by the end of the week, one way or another.

Also when they say upgrading a T43 15" from XGA to UXGA need an new inverter, I did not replace mine, and it still works just fine, even though it gets a little bit hotter... So I am not sure about A30 and it seems like finding the matching inverter is almost impossible. And I am willing to pay you some money for the cable too, if you can guarantee that it will work on my A30 as it is really hard to find on eBay (I literally bought the last T43 UXGA cable available on the entire eBay site and it works just fine on my T43 even though the Radeon X300 seems to struggle with it at times)
