X301 LCD AFFS mod

Been away from the forum for a while… so I want to ask if there is any new development in modding the display of X301. I want to get a better display that is easier on my eyes. It can be a good holdover solution at least until the retro-thinkpad becomes a reality. Thanks!

I think that there are few examples of LCD being replaced with the BOE's AFFS LCD in the past but it never became a solution for many. I think that it isn't trivial mod. If there are easy means of upgrading the LCD with an AFFS, would like to know a vendor of modded AFFS display (like their e-bay link or email, etc). Thanks!

That's pretty complete but doesn't list from whom you bought the AFFS panel. May be you can pm that info you don't want to be the agent for the panel modder in China.

Thank for the info but life to too busy and I haven't gotten around to modding my X301. My wife is using my X301 now so I'll have to get another one. Can't understand the Chinese at 51nb.com. It would be easiest if they start selling the AFFS kit on ebay. I'm thinking of asking a Chinese friend to order the AFFS panel for me.

See if your friend can also get a hold of an X62 motherboard.
