WTB: Old Sprint Smartphone
Looking for a Sprint cellphone for a prepaid line. I'm hoping someone has an old smartphone in a drawer they'd like to get rid of.
Condition is less important than price. An older Windows Mobile device or Treo would be ideal. Depending on the model, I may not need a charger.
Let me know if any of you have something along these lines
Edit: must be a non-BlackBerry device, it turns out

RBS- Unfortunately ATT models won't work on Sprint
Rambo- I just found out BlackBerry devices can't be activated as prepaid. Updated original post to reflect.

You might try webOS Nation. There's a marketplace and a number of people are still using their old Sprint Palm Pre2's.

Re: WTB: Old Sprint Smartphone
Hey, I've got an original Palm Pre 1. Bought it on release day and ported from AT&T to Sprint to get it. i have a couple of Touchstone wireless chargers too. $30 for the Pre in its original box, or $40 for the Pre and a Touchstone charger.
It never got much use as I went running back to my (then) beloved BlackBerry after two weeks.

Huh?NorrisCell wrote:RBS- Unfortunately ATT models won't work on Sprint.
I thought ANY UNlocked phone can run on ANY other network...
(I don't mind not selling, just want to know...)

Re: WTB: Old Sprint Smartphone
For GSM (SIM card based) networks like AT&T, T-Mobile, and most of the rest of the world that's true. Sprint and Verizon run on CDMA, which operates differently. A handful of their phones use SIM cards, but only for traveling internationally, because the USA is the only country that uses CDMA for any decent amount of its networksRealBlackStuff wrote:Huh?NorrisCell wrote:RBS- Unfortunately ATT models won't work on Sprint.

wot NorrisCell said! it starts to get ugly in NA/US - I live in some remote Atlantic island where vmobl/akaSprint has surprisingly amazing 4GLTE coverage, but is still CDMA so I can basically take my phone nowhere.

Re: WTB: Old Sprint Smartphone
I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S2 SPH-D710 in Android 4.1.2. It is still decent but I already have tons of unlocked S2s so...
LCD is newly replaced and fully working without a single scratch but shell is kinda beat up. Do have 3 batteries and a beat up case.
PM if interested, thank you...
