#1 Post by boodi » Wed May 18, 2016 5:17 am

i have a t60 and a t43p with both 15'' lcd

is it feasable and if yes , how easy is to put the 15'' uxga of the t43p onto the t60 (removing the t60 lcd )?
do i require it/tech skills ( which I so not have at all ..) ?

Both lids need to be taken apart to make the swap.
Download the manuals for both T43 and T60 from the HMM link at the top of this page.
Make sure battery and charger are disconnected when you work on this!

Some (but not all) screens from a T4x will work in a T60, provided they also have an EDID chip.
Without the chip they won't work.
You'll need to try the T43 screen in the T60, to see if it works.
(just connect T60 LCD-cable and T60-inverter to the T4x screen, make sure the inverter does not touch any metal)
You won't destroy anything if it does not work.

Correct. The LCD will light up but not display anything.
