Nice! I'm been searching for one as a sidekick for my a31p. Got any other good leads on one?

Dammit.

That thing is glossy.

Is it just the foil? Or did you do something to it? (since your topic title says piano)

The S series comes like that. The plastic is to protect the finish - I've heard that it scratches easily.

You'll have to completely disassemble your T43 to do it, first.

Then, you'll have to strip the rubber coating off of the T43.

Then, find a laptop painting guide, get some glossy piano black finish paint, and paint the parts. I don't know how much the paint will cost, though.

Put them back together, and you'll have a piano black lappy.

However, if I were you, I'd try it on an old ThinkPad that's not worth much to you, first.

All I did on my X31 was to put the transparent sticker(it called something like curtain sheet, a friend of mine gave to me...I don't know where can you get it, if someone knows please post on here will be appreciate)

Here's the picture just finished, and it will gets more submissive when time goes on.

Nice, I must admit though I do preffer tha look of the non-gloss Thinkpad lids. I'd imagine these would be easier to keep in good nick in some respects. Although it would scratch - i doub it would actually come off.
That rubberized coating they use on the matte thinkpads is a tad easy to scrape off by accident :(
760ED All the way.

FEEL THE BURN! From the bottom of that particular laptop... right in the bawsack! eek

Thanks for that photo showing an S31 and an X31 together. It's somewhat surprising that the X31 is only barely bigger than the S31.
