T420 ODD eject spring - 04W1602.
IBM want to charge me €85!!! As regards the X220 Screw Kit I don't need the whole kit but just two M2 5mm screws (the two you remove for replacing the keyboard). Not looking to spend a fortune for two screws, two rails and a spring to be honest but they are needed (and cheer me up!).
Thanks!

Re: WTB - Various Spare Parts
Do they have hardware stores, or hobby shops, in Limerick? Or places which repair electronics, or computers?
Surely each of those places would have screws with 2mm diameter, metric thread, and 5mm length.

Re: WTB - Various Spare Parts
I see your point. I was kind of trying to be a purist and get authentic Lenovo stuff but perhaps I'm taking it too far. I actually did try one hardware store for the spring but they didn't have compression springs at all.
Re: WTB - Various Spare Parts
I have bought several screw kits on Ebay from China that have worked for me.

Re: WTB - Various Spare Parts
Yeah I came across this guy selling the spacers but wasn't sure if the stuff wasn't authentic. Since he was doing the screws as well I pulled the trigger on both from him.brucehe wrote:I have bought several screw kits on Ebay from China that have worked for me.

Thanks mate but the price was a little bit too much (again) for me. I'm a bit of a cheapskate!erik wrote:I have both of these available. PM sent.VanZan wrote:X220 Solid State Drive spacers - 04W1717.

Re: WTB - T420 ODD eject spring - 04W1602.
I purchased vintage IBM ThinkPad labels from that seller and they turned out to be counterfeit. I reported them to eBay and they wouldn't do anything about it. Hopefully you have better luck.
Those rails used to be around $20 each plus $13.50 for shipping, then tax on top of everything. That's roughly what I paid. IBM definitely doesn't give these things away.
Knowing that they're now available as knockoffs and dirt cheap, I'll gladly hold onto my originals.

Then the ones I ordered will be knock offs as well. I'm sorry Erik I didn't see until now that you were a moderator too. I truly feel a complete prat for not taking you up on your offer. My apologies again.
Re: WTB - T420 ODD eject spring - 04W1602.
No worries. Let us know how things turn out. The labels I purchased were blatant knockoffs but the rails might be decent. It's too soon to be concerned.
