strange problem

i have a t30 with win2k sp4 - plus all current updates.
Sometimes the keyboard doesn't work in windows , works when i type pop and press ctrl / alt / del and type the windows password to logon but not once windows starts.
mouse is fine - so i just restart and its fine - there are no entries in event vwr to give me any clues, all services have started ok
any thoughts?

Make a backup of your datas,
recover the machine via F11,
install all newest drivers, Bios and embedded controller.
When this doesn't help, contact an IBM repair center.
