T60P 8743 - Screen doesn't work, external scrambled Pics inside.

The screen on my T60P (8743) with the ATi graphics card does not display images properly.
When I connected it to my external monitor, the image is scrambled. I suspect the graphics card has failed and I need to replace the motherboard.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a solution? I did a cursory search on the forum but couldn't find anything similar.

Unfortunately, you are correct.

Many of us have, and the only solution is a planar swap. Fortunately, these boards are on the inexpensive end of the spectrum nowadays.

I don't think I have the motivation to source or replace the motherboard.

Do you think its possible for me to sell the T60p for parts (sans battery and hard drive?)?
