No status indicators

Just received another T420 I purchased on eBay. It's working fine but for a few problems. The wifi and hdd status indicators do not work. The system does not detect it when I close the lid. The little light that should come on overhead the screen (Fn + PgUp) doesn't come on. The battery indicators on the lid do not work.

Everything else is perfect (as in the screen displays fine). I'm thinking so it's a problem with the screen and it might be a fuse or something? Hoping I don't have to return the T420 as I imported it from Germany!
