Sound volume through headphones

#1 Post by mikeG41 » Fri Jun 10, 2005 11:24 pm

Hi,

When I try to use headphones with my Thinkpad G41, the sound is so loud that I have to keep the "slider" in the volume control panel on the first line. And some things are still louder than I'd like them. This means I have almost no control over the volume-- I can either have it inaudible or really loud, nothing in between.

This is only when I use headphones, the built-in speakers seem OK.

Anyone know a solution to this problem? Thanks.

Mike

You can go to the EQ and adjust the wav volume to about half. That will change the max and min output from some sounds when you adjust the volume up & down. Double click the speaker icon in the system tray, or go to start -> all programs -> accessories -> entertainment -> volume control.
