Caddy SSD in T440s

#1 Post by RRHODY » Tue Jun 28, 2016 9:43 am

Is there a trick to getting the SSD out of the caddy? I don't see any screws or any way that it is held in place.

If there are no screws, just bend both "legs" along the long side outwards, and the drive should be free.
Caddy looks like this:

drive bracket in T440s

Per T440p documentation, bracket sidewalls do pull out of HDD. T440s might be similar. T440p bracket 04X5421 looks like this (Lenovo's own illustration).

Thanks for the help, I'll try it. My SSD has a silver foil cover that looks like it isn't attached to the drive but is fastened to the caddy. We'll see what happens to it when the sides are spread.
