These are great machines. If you get one with a production date after January 08 (Especially a CTR) with a 42W7874 motherboard, the issues with Nvidia failure may be significantly reduced. I have a 8891-CTR T8300 FX570 that still works fine. It would seem that mobo replacements by Lenovo after January 08 in T61p 4:3 with FX570(even before 08/08) were less likely to fail. Maybe the day comes soon when my T61p bids farewell, but it has been the ultimate machine for many years.
