TP570e WinXP, 40GB HDD, Any thoughts or pitfalls?

#1 Post by tcsnyder » Sat Jun 11, 2005 11:52 am

I have a 570e-2644-5AU 392MB Ram with BIOS IUET26WW. Am planning to upgrade to WinXP, and installing a 40GB HDD. I have upgraded the BIOS to accomodate Win 2000 although I haven't been able to install Win2k-Pro withou several errors during install. Does anyone have experience with installing WinXP on this machine? Is a 40GB HDD within the limitations of the BIOS: IUET26WW?

A 40gb drive will work on the computer and XP should run fine given you have at least 64mb of RAM. 128 works best.
ThinkPad T60: 2GHZ CD T2500, 3gb RAM, 14.1" XGA, 60gb 7k100, Win 7 Ult
Latitude E7250: i5 5300U 2.3ghz, 12gb RAM, 12" 1080p touch, 256gb SSD, Win 10
