T60 15" 2623-DAU

#1 Post by WVZR1 » Sat Jul 30, 2016 6:26 am

I was away from home yesterday and shopping for a UPS but came home with this T60. It's extremely clean, boots to BIOS from the battery. The keyboard, bezels, touch-pad etc. are spotless and it requires considerable effort to open/close (hinges feel as new). The underside of the base is certainly "as new", the exterior of the lid has just a couple scuffs and still has the "ThinkVantage Technologies" label in the left corner. The lid is also branded as IBM/ThinkPad. It shows/appears to have been stored vs. used. I'm quite confident a HDD & an OS puts this "in service" OR do you just need parts?

$35 + the ship and you pick the method of shipping. If your in/near NOVA or vicinity maybe deliver/meet.

It has no HDD, caddy or cover

Serial # L3BE350 from the BIOS.

I bought a T60P 14" also that's just as clean but I'm thinking on using the LCD in my other 14" T60 that Brad "modified" for me years ago.

So I could use a little help here MAYBE - does anyone have any experience with inexpensive shipping to Poland or any other European countries maybe. My experience tells me that it's not the weight of a shipment/package but the dimensions of the package that generally create the issues. An appropriate shipping box for a laptop is generally 20 X 18 X 6 or so, these are of a box I've used a couple times.

Least expensive, no problems with extended delivery time was requested!!

Don't think such a thing exists any longer. A few years ago I sent a ThinkPad to Poland, seems like a Medium Flat Rate box was about $40, today same package looks like $71.95. And if you use your own box the cost is over $100! Still that's less than half the cost of UPS or FedEx.
Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E

No later than 2 weeks ago I've paid $20 for shipping a system to Poland. Will contact you for details.

Neil: and to be precise you've sent me your system in 2014, and we were struggling to get it shipped mostly due to lack of knowledge :)

I have it still in my possession BUT it's been promised to a fellow forum member. I've had a couple issues and he's understood. My issues are likely behind me after Monday/Tuesday so I'll contact him. If by chance he's disappointed and has lost interest only then would it become available.
