To replace mSATA SSD, you need to remove the bottom cover, hard drive module and keyboard, the mSATA SSD under the keyboard, hope this guide can help you http://www.myfixguide.com/manual/lenovo ... sassembly/

That link is for the first X1, not for an X1-Carbon.
