Kaby Lake launches next week on IDF in San Francisco, so of course they are on the way.

Might take a while before they actually hit the market, though. Kaby Lake CPUs with vPro are scheduled for early 2017, so T/P/X/L ThinkPads should definitely not appear this year.

Right. This is in line with the Lenovo Yoga 910 that was announced on IFA two weeks ago. You will see an increasing number of Consumer systems with Kaby Lake this year, which will all use the 15 W U-CPUs or 4.5 W Y-CPUs. Early next year, Intel will launch additional Kaby Lake CPUs für business-notebooks (e.g. ThinkPads), workstations (P-Series), gaming systems etc. - Intel has announced this, so its not a secret.

Looks like an ok laptop but I'd really be wanting more ports, more tech.

Where's the displayport? Where's the high performance port like a type-c? Where's the thunderbolt?

Way too safe a design.

Displayport is special to "pro" computers, this is just consumer laptop that has HDMI only.
