Browsing eBay, stumbled across an IBM tablet with OS/2 7592-PF1

I can't seem to find any info about it.
It looks IBM but I don't know if it's a one off or what.
Dunno if it's a 'thinkpad', might be some sort of desktop retail POS system.

check it out :o

ISBU probably stands for "Internet Services Business Unit" or "Internet Software Business Unit".
Never heard of it though.

ISBU = Industrial Solutions Business Unit and defined the business unit (BU) team responsible for industrial/POS products.

These were self-contained touchscreen PCs used in kiosks in the early/mid '90s.

This is interesting. It does seem like something one would use in a Kiosk, since the back looks like a giant built-in heatsink. Certainly not friendly for handheld use.

Hmmmm... I figured much.
Didn't have much fun with some IBM kiosks in the 2000's, I will pass this one then.

edit: thanks for all your guys input!
