Beware of eBay idiots

#1 Post by RealBlackStuff » Fri Aug 26, 2016 7:19 am

Talk about stuipid eBayers...

Concerns this eBay listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/222227408084
Messages sent:

realblackstuff:
Yours is a 15.4" widescreen laptop, NOT a 15" as stated!
"Not as described" comes to mind...

561jjsilver:
First I had a laugh at your message that you for whatever reason took the time to write me as obviously we are complete strangers. We both stopped laughing though and froze because it occurred to us that the issue isn t just your retarded remark about not as described but the fact that how sad and pathetic are you that you have the time and take the time to write me a message when there is no intelligent reason for you to contact me or any other sellers on here just for you to express yourself even if you had a message that was truthful or intelligent. But you pointed yourself out as a typical shady scammer with not as described not as described...how many buyers have you ripped off with that because not as described is the biggest problem sellers have to deal with getting robbed by lowlifes saying not as described. Check my record, never ever had one problem never will. I listed the screen at 15 when I knew it s a bit bigger so these comments are pathetic and thanks for the laugh

realblackstuff:
FYI: I regularly buy 15" T60 machines to convert into FrankenPads, hence my looking at what is listed.
You are probably too dumb or stupid to know what FrankenPads are.
When I then come across misleading mistakes like yours, I have the DECENCY to point this out to sellers.
But after having come across an idiot like you, who can only write insulting messages, I won't waste my time any more.
FU2.

561jjsilver:
That makes sense that posting that message on my listing was your idea of what decency is. Truly amazing to have been contacted by you and again thank you for the laughs as I've shared this several friends who all either shook their head or laughed their a$$ off but at least I give you credit for even thinking and caring about acting out of decency. Good luck and have a nice laugh

End of story.
Another one for on my RealBlackList.

He stated he doesn't know anything about computers but he certainly was able to come up with a detailed description.

Sellers like that make me raise an eyebrow. Sometimes both.

'Used' but they are selling it as is.
Kinda reminds me of the people who wanted to buy the Mid 2010 macbooks I had without hard drives installed.

To be fair, the average consumer doesn't know the difference between 15" and 15.4" laptops.
Though their response to yours is silly.

Amazes me how rude sellers on eBay can be. Truly disappointing and disgusting at the same time.

Other: Macbook Pro Retina 2015, Macbook Pro 2012.

Yeah I agree. Same goes with the local classifieds. It's amazing what a keyboard and screen will bring out in human character.

RBS - very decent of you to point out the error. Unfortunately some people reserve the right to remain ignorant and rude.

That guy sounds very upset, maybe some other factors in his life are stressing him out.

Either way I wouldn't have gotten insulty back. Just linked him to the relevant specs and added him to my list of whom not to conduct business with. To each his own I guess.

At times I run into eBay sellers that are misrepresenting Thinkpad systems. Since I had been looking for A31p and T23 systems, I tend to notice errors on those more often. Sometimes a friendly message explaining what's wrong with their description is well received and fruitful (they thank me and edit the auction). Other times we go back-and-forth and no matter what proof I offer (basically IBM documentation like tabook.pdf), they refuse to acknowledge that they may be wrong. I try to point out it's in their best interests to know about these errors as it could be used as a "not as described" excuse to the have the sale cancelled. I don't call them names or insult them as that never works to change their minds.

These guys clearly have mental slash personality issues.

Who goes off on a 200-300 diatribe on a message you could otherwise ignore since they arent actually buying the item.
