DONE: X200t
DONE: X200t
After several (!) failed attempts and being lied to on feeBay repeatedly (I understand why people don't like to buy used stuff in the US now), I'm ready to give up and simply ask if someone here has a X200t in GOOD condition that they want to sell. I don't care about the specs. My only requirements are:
-Display with the glass cover
-FPR
-Good battery
-Good (doesn't have to be great) condition
-Send me ACTUAL pics of your X200t
I don't need a charger per se, but I'll gladly take it if it's a 65W unit. RAM 2 or 4GB please. No HDD needed, but I do need the caddy and cover.

Re: WTB: X200t ASAP
Two questions:
a) By "with glass cover", are you referring to the Outdoor model or not?
b) If you can get without a FPR, feel free to PM me. I might be willing to part ways with the system in my sig, which is a standard (pen-only) unit with a LED (Samsung PVA) LCD.

Re: WTB: X200t ASAP
Sometimes it takes awhile to find the right system and the right seller on Fleabay. You can't just buy from the first person selling what you're looking for unless you know who you are dealing with.
There are as many scumbags pedaling crap on e-Bay as there are legitimate sellers. It's your job to weed the chaff from the seed.

I don't know if it is real glass or plexiglass or whatever you call it. You are probably more informed than I am.
b. Thanks for the offer, I'll keep that in mind. I plan on running Windows on it, so strictly speaking I don't actually need a FPR, at least for the moment. Is it possible to install one later down the road?
That's the issue. I already did that. I'm pretty good at selecting the right offers and sellers in Germany, but I guess that feeBay US just works differently. It's all part of the experience though and I'm sure I'll figure it out sooner or later.MikalE wrote:Sometimes it takes awhile to find the right system and the right seller on Fleabay. Re: WTB: X200t ASAP
Interesting comparison. Neither of these is an Outdoor model which comes without a LCD bezel altogether as far as I can recall. My best guess is that the first picture is of a LED-lit system, while the second one is a CCFL-lit unit but I'm not 100% sure. Or the second one might be a multitouch model...600X wrote:

Mine looks like the first one. I don't believe that I've ever owned a X200T that looks like your second picture.
Yes, it is possible to add FPR. You'd need the sensor itself along with the cable, or a complete bezel containing these.b. Thanks for the offer, I'll keep that in mind. Re: WTB: X200t
I am thinking of selling my Thinkpad X200T, it is the touch screen model with good battery, it in good condition but has a small crack on the bottom left side where the express slot is, it doesn't affect performance. It would come with 4GB of RAM and a 240GB SSD OCZ drive.600X wrote:After several (!) failed attempts and being lied to on feeBay repeatedly (I understand why people don't like to buy used stuff in the US now), I'm ready to give up and simply ask if someone here has a X200t in GOOD condition that they want to sell.
