A21m movie video problem

I have a Thinkpad 2628-G2U with Windows 2000 and service pack 4. I have the latest video driver from IBM. When ever I run movies (either AVI, MOV, or a DVD movie) the bottom fifth of the window or full screen is blurred. The top 4/5 of the window is the normal display of the movie. It doesn't matter which video application I use. (Quicktime, Realplayer, Media Player, DVD Express) Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
