Here you go.
2520m with OEM paste

2640m with Kyronaut

That was fresh boot for each, encoding the same movie on the same settings via Handbrake. Its pretty clear the stock paste needed to reapplied so any thermal paste would have been beneficial but had excellent results with Kryonaut.

Re: Thinkpad T410 normal operating temperatures
Next time you get an SSD, I'd like to recommend Sandisk Extreme Pro instead.
It'll wipe the floor (and then some) with your SSD Plus.
BTW, that temp-comparison is not quite fair, since you use two different CPUs and two different thermal pastes...

Re: Thinkpad T410 normal operating temperatures
Its the old scratch disk I pulled from my main machine. When I used SATA SSDs I always preferred Samsung because they performed the best and offered the highest capacity (I have a Samsung 850 Pro 2TB for storage). Now everything being PCIe I have a stack of old SATA SSD's to re-purpose.RealBlackStuff wrote:Next time you get an SSD, I'd like to recommend Sandisk Extreme Pro instead.

While true the CPU's are different they both have the same 35w TDP. 13-14 degree lower temps at a 1000RPM less fan. The point of the post was different/new paste.
Cheers.
