X230t Battery is New, fully charged but does not work

#1 Post by hqaddomi » Tue Nov 01, 2016 5:55 pm

Hello,

I have a X230t with a new purchased battery, it shows that the battery is fully charged and it was charging when I first put it in the laptop, yet when I remove the charger cable the laptop shuts down! What could be the problem?

Please confirm that you are using an official Lenovo/Thinkpad battery?
If so, you can bring it back to Lenovo to discuss with them your problem...

Anyways, you can also try this,
1) Open Power Manager (double click on the battery guage on the right side of your TaskBar, or at least for Win7)
2) Goto [Battery_Maintenance]>>[Perform_Reset]

If above does not work, then there is a real possibility that the new battery may be defective.

Good luck!
