Thinkpad x200 shuts itself off after just a couple minutes.

So here is the thing, my x200 was working flawlessly until last friday, when it shut down immediately after trying to wake it up from sleep mode (under Debian), as if it overheated (althoug it was not hot at all). After this, it will only keept itself on for a couple minutes on either Windows 10 or Linux, I thought it was the RAM, so I replaced the stick with one out of a working netbook, nothing changed, thought it was an overheat problem, took it apart, cleaned it and replaced the thermal paste with some fresh one, significally dropped the temperatures, increased the average time the computer would last on, but still the same. Odly enough, while testing the motherboard out of the case, over a wood chair and nothing connected but the AC Adapter, keyboard, vga monitor and a USB mouse, it lasted over an hour (and it would go for ever), running CPU intensive programs.

Any loose piece of metal in the case causing a short? I'd also check the logs in debian to see if there was any specific error before the shutdowns.

How likely is for the keyboard to create a short circuit, or for the fan to be the problem?
BTW, temp2 (lmsensor thinkpad-isa-0000 temp2) on Psensor shows -1 C

Have you checked that your fan is actually running?
Could the air-inlet (on the bottom) be dusted up?

The fan is running without any problem, it will go through all the 7 speeds with Tpfancontrol, it's a little noisy, like it needs some lubrication. I cleaned the case before putting it back together.

I removed the little shield thing, and now it will last an hour or even more, and now, when it shuts down I don't need to remove the battery or AC adapter in order to turn it back on, and sometimes it will beep. don't understand how this didn't affected it until today. The logs didn't show anything out of common (maybe it does, but since I don't really know how to correctly read them)

Well i had the exact same symptom of not turning on without power supply and stuff only to find out that the vaccant bluetooth antenna head is shorting out the circuit.

Now it doesn't boot at all, the status and Ethernet lights will turn on for a second, nothing else, not even the fan.
