I'd rather have a Renovo than a Lenovo!
Getting fed up with Lenovo?
I'd rather have a Renovo than a Lenovo.
A "spelling mistake" led me here, WOW!.

The torque and 0-60 time is impressive. I'm not impressed with the top end speed. I'm certain the price for new batteries wouldn't impress me either.

Since the US has such childishly low speed-limits, methinks it's more than fast enough!
It would be no good though on the German Autobahn!
Way back, when I still lived in Europe, I had a very rare 1967 Glaserati that could easily reach the same speed.

I'll say. You've never driven until you've experienced the Autobahn.

I'll pass.... That puny four-inch ground clearance wouldn't stand a chance against a good ole' Canadian winter snowstorm that leaves twenty inches of snow everywhere.
Besides, "Room for your A*S*S* and a gallon of gas" (in this case batteries) doesn't leave much space for "courtin' an' sparkin" as my old man used to say!

Re: I'd rather have a Renovo than a Lenovo!
Ironically "Renovo" would be how the Chinese pronounce "Lenovo".
Be that as it may, it seems like you guys do not know your motoring history.
This Renovo coupe is a replica of the Caroll Shelby Cobra Daytona coupe... but with an electric motor.
I believe the design of the Daytona may be public domain so companies like "Factory Five" have replicas as well but they are powered by gasoline motors.
I also think its a great looking car but I would want mine with a GM V8 and 6 speed manual.
Also it is specious to expect that a low slung touring car designed to run at Le Mans is going to suit every person, every clime. And even if it doesnt, its expect that someone rich enough to purchase such as car has a 'summer' car, 'winter' car etc.
Hell, our household of 4 people has 4 cars and only two people drive.

If anyone has had a chance for a ride in the Tesla P100D you could describe the ride in Ludicrous mode as neck snapping.
The published 0-60 time is 2.5 seconds. Hard to beat this time with nearly any gasoline powered cars.
I recommend resting your head on the headrest when accelerating.

The Thinkpad 13 is a great looking laptop but I would want mine with a faster SSD and a backlit keyboard with 7 rows.TonyJZX wrote:I also think its a great looking car but I would want mine with a GM V8 and 6 speed manual.

I'd pass on the Renovo. Doesn't seem to be too practical for an everyday mode of transportation (assuming the $500K+ cost and 80-100 mile range is correct). I'll wait for my Tesla 3.

It looks like a fantastic way to swallow venture capital. Doesnt seem to be a serious commercial venture.
