SSD recommendation

#1 Post by shahidt » Wed Nov 30, 2016 8:41 am

What is a good quality internal SSD that I can buy with a good mix of size and quality. I currently have a T60 and while I know it supports only SATA1, I was thinking of buying a 256 GB SATA3 SSD that I can use with my ultrabay, now and in the future with any new Thinkpads.

Sandisk Extreme Pro.
If you go for anything else, make sure is does NOT have a SandForce controller.

For a TLC drive the 850 EVO is what I would buy. Having said that, I prefer, search for and buy MLC SSD. MLC SSDs are still readily available for now. TLC will take over soon enough.
