Test T520 screen with T420 mobo?

I have a parts T520 and a T420 halftop coming in. I don't have them yet so I'm not sure of the T520's working condition. I would like to check the condition of the T520's HD+ screen and I'm wondering, just in case the T520 is deceased, if I can I plug the T520's screen and cables into the T420? :?:
Daily driver: lenovo T500 P9700, WUXGA, 8GB
Ultraportable: IBM lenovo X60s
Home theater: lenovo T420
