I just wanted to share that I solved the occasional freeze of my X230 by replacing the Lenovo factory delivered Intel SSD with a Samsung SSD 850 PRO - 500GB.
I knew the Intel SSD was the problem because the freeze also happened during the Power On Self Test (POST) and therefor was a hardware issue and not a Windows issue.
Replacing was very simple and easy. This showed once again how easy somebody can remove the SSD and therefor all your data from your laptop - it's done in less than 15 seconds!
