Keyboard matrix

#1 Post by karotlopj » Fri Jan 27, 2017 11:09 am

Is anything like a ThinkPad keyboard matrix available?

I have a T420 a defective keyboard and am trying to find which keyboards from other models might work with it...

I do have one where the connector fits OK and is usable but it doesn't really fit in the base so can't be secured.

Not sure if the original keyboard is repairable - it looks OK. I may have broken it by cleaning it. Is there any way to check it out?

T series keyboards are usually cheap. T410/420/510/520 are all interchangeable. It's not worth the effort to repair a keyboard.
T510 i5, T510 i7 4349-A64 - T520 i7 4242-4UU, technically a CTO now.

T520: i7-2760QM(2.40GHz),16GB RAM, 500GB SSD/500GB 7200 RPM Drive, 15.6in 1600x900 LCD, 1GB NVIDIA, DVDRW, Smartcard reader, media card reader, FPR, Win7 Pro64, whitelist BIOS, Ultimate-N 6300 AGN, German KB, Bluetooth 4.0.
