new battery for t43?

I saw on the accessories list at Lenovo Think Centre today there is now listed a new 9-cell battery for t43's, (at least when I looked for accessories under my particular model number). It's a 14 volt, I think, or 14.4 volt as opposed to the 10.8 volt batteries.

Is anyone familiar with them? Also, what does the different voltage equate to as far as amount of usability?

Do you have the link? All T4x batteries should be 10.8v.

The voltage should not change. Overvolting electronics is generally not a good idea!

What probably did change is the Amp/Hour rating. Could you provide a link? We could probably tell you more if we could see the item.

Well, I just went back, but I can't find it now. I just saw it a few days ago. Maybe it was a typo or something that they accidentally listed under the battery section instead of one of the other 9-cells. I should have written down the part number. Well, if I see it again, I'll put the post in here. Sorry for sending you down a rabbit trail.

It could be a typo. I haven't seen that new part number before though.

If you type in that part number, though, it will come up in their search box. The price is 199.00 versus the 179.00 price for the other nine-cell.

I dunno. Maybe it will become a little more apparent as time goes on.
