WTB: X200 Tablet w/ 400 nit Outdoor Display
I'm also looking on eBay and Craigslist..
SL9600 processor and webcam ideally but those wants are marginal in comparison to the outdoor display.
PS: Does anyone know how to verify if any given laptop is a 400 nit outdoor? A lot of sellers on eBay have no clue, and I can't tell from the model number (MTM).

Welcome to the forum.
Outdoor version is pen-only, and doesn't have a screen bezel if I recall correctly.
Good luck.

Oh, thank you, and the lack of a bezel is unique to the outdoor version?ajkula66 wrote:Welcome to the forum.

Download the X200T manual from the HMM-link at the top of this page.
It shows one bezel with all the buttons included for touch and direct-bonding LCD, and one combo of "bare" LCD-bezel with a separate buttons-bezel for protection plate LCD.
The combo part shows a 300-nit LCD but no 400-nit.
I have never seen one, so can't help you any further.

Interestingly, when searching "400-nit" or "outdoor" no results are found in the PDF of the manual. When I searched only "nit", it was only paired with 300 and 200.RealBlackStuff wrote:Download the X200T manual from the HMM-link at the top of this page.

I have three x200 tablets. all three have a black bezel on the LCD. Two screens are pretty bright, but haven't tested outside.
In use: x300, T60p Flex View, T420
In storage or in need of repair: 701cs, IBM Transnote, x60s, x301, x230, T430s

How much are you asking? And if you could either find the nit value, or test them outdoors that'd be greatVmontyy wrote:I have three x200 tablets. all three have a black bezel on the LCD. Two screens are pretty bright, but haven't tested outside.
Though admittedly, I am becoming less interested in the outdoor aspect.

Sorry for the late reply I work construction and leave early and return after dark. Anyways here's some pictures. Battery holds about 2 hours. The mouse buttons are a little spongy, but consider how old it is. Includes 4gb ram and a barely/not readle windows 7 code. Screen looked good outside but in full sun it did suffer. The picture made it worse though. http://imgur.com/a/BNqiY pm if interested. I also good a similar one where the lid doesn't lock that I'd sell for less.
No hdd.
