Windows 7 Pro recovery discs for T420s ?

Hello,

I recently bought a used T420S from Germany, and the laptop has a Windows 7 Professional sticker on it. However, I realised later the OS the seller put on it is not genuine. The Rescue and Recovery partition is non-existant, either. I would like to restore the partition.

While I was trying to order the recovery discs (04T3680 English or 04T3663 French) from IBM, the person said they were no longer available and I should go to download them from Lenovo's website. However, he was unable to provide me the link.

I have been looking for it without success. Actually, I have never heard of it and doubt Lenovo would do so, but the person who said it works for IBM.

If anyone knows the link, can you please share it? Also, if someone who has a T420s configured to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit (English or French) and an intact R&R partition, perhaps you could make the discs for me? I would be glad to pay the postage and a small fee.

I have a full set of the 4 recovery DVDs. I can host .iso files if you'd like to download and burn them. They will build the hard disk's restore partition unique to your submodel so your computer is configured as it would have been if it was received new from the factory.

Unfortunately I wasn't contacted again by the member above.

I'm basically stucked with a new computer, a new hard drive and no operating system. An OEM Windows 7 costs about 40€, but I find it silly to buy another licence since I already have one for this laptop.

So, I would be greatly appreciated if somebody can host the ISO files, mail me a copy of the recovery DVDs or sell me the genuine DVDs (04T3680 English or 04T3663 French). If you want to discuss price, please PM me.

what you can do in the meantime OP is load Windows 10 onto your laptop - your Win 7 cd key will work and activate Windows 10 - I just loaded Win10 on my spare T420s using my Win7 key this weekend.
