Hello,
Hopefully this is a better place to post!
I am looking for a secondary ThinkPad which can be used in various ambient lights — mainly something that won't keep me up at night, though the ability to use it on a sunny day (like in direct sunlight) would be nice as well.
Now, according to Wikipedia, the Super-twisted nematic display "can be made purely reflective for viewing under direct sunlight."
Fortunately for me, ThinkWiki has provided a handy table of all ThinkPads equipped with such a thing!
Some models, such as the 700T, are explicitly advertised as transflective, but I don't know if this can be assumed.
All the ThinkPads in the table are Classic models and so I am hoping some people here can attest to their Classic ThinkPads' reflective/transflective qualities!
Are some models better than others for this? Are colour screens any worse than monochrome?
Do let me know if you know anything about this topic and/or have a ThinkPad meeting this criterion you'd be willing to sell to me.
Thanks!
