I have a Lenovo Flex 2-14 which had a broken power switch, and it would power up
The palmrest/touchpad was replaced, and now it starts up with both laptop battery and/or ac adaptor connected, but not when the bios battery is installed!
However after closing the laptop down using windows shut down (it won’t shut down using the power switch) and trying to restart it for a the second time it won’t restart as usual – rather you have to unplug the ac adaptor from the laptop for a second or two and then plug it in again and then it starts ok b”h (but since there is no bios battery installed – which means that the date and time aren’t working) .
There seems to be an electrical issue – what could it be - the i/o board or something else?
