Is Lenovo Diagnostics part of UEFI?

I have a T450s with latest UEFI version 1.27. When I boot up the laptop, then I'm able to enter Lenovo Diagnostics. Is this thanks to modular design of UEFI which allows to create such (GUI) utilities?

Hi All,

The ThinkPad Tablet 10 and ThinkPad Helix Gen 2 are not equipped with the Legacy BIOS but only UEFI BIOS and therefore the standard HMD...
