755C Battery Disassembly

I have a 755C coming and I would like to know if there is a way to open the battery with absolutely destroying it like some of the newer ones(T40,570E) which are pretty hard to open up. Any tips for getting rid of the glue?
The only acceptable use for a MacBook is to shop for a Thinkpad.

Thinkpads: 570e,A31p,T40,T42 x3,T42p UXGA,T60p,T61,X61s,X201,X220,X230,T410,T420,T430s(dead),X240 with mod.
New: 701c, 755c, 755cdv
Others: Zenith 286 supersport, Mac Portable 5120, Tandy LT1400

I rebuilt the battery in a 365XD a while ago and I recall it looked fairly similar to the one in my 755C. I just used a sharp knife to pry it open gently and it came apart without too much destructive persuasion...

When you rebuilt that 365XD battery, which cells were inside. I'm figuring I might be on batteryspace for a little while :D.

18650 or A cell, if memory serves. They were slightly larger than AA cells - which is what I used when I rebuilt it since I had a ton of them on hand at the time.
