T410: Bluetooth module with aftermarket Wi-Fi card?

#1 Post by RichardG867 » Sat Mar 11, 2017 7:07 pm

Hey all,

I have a Bluetooth module in my T410 (2522-EU2), however it is not functional since I replaced the stock Centrino 6200 Wi-Fi card (which bricked itself) with an aftermarket AzureWave AR5B95 after flashing a no-whitelist BIOS. This card does not have built-in Bluetooth, but I'm wondering if I could still use the Bluetooth module with it?

There's no Bluetooth option on the BIOS Security screen, Fn+F5 only shows the Wi-Fi radio, and the Bluetooth software installer (I'm on Windows 7) claims no hardware was found. The module itself is present and connected, and the status LED briefly lights up when powering the system on.

Any ideas?

Interesting. I couldn't get a BT module to work when installed in a T410i, that didn't have it originally, and it has its stock low end Intel 1000 N card.
