Can I use an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 wifi card in my T60?

#1 Post by Muse » Wed Mar 15, 2017 2:22 pm

This 1953CTO T60 came with ThinkPad 11a/b/g Wi-Fi wireless LAN Mini-PCIe wifi, which has 2 antenna connections (as does the 6205 card). The T60 is currently running 2.26 BIOS.

1. Will it work with the Advanced-N 6205 card? If so, I suppose I need to use an adapter bracket (which I have).

2. Do I need to install a non-whitelist BIOS? I think that would be a Zender BIOS. If this is so, where can I get this BIOS?

Thanks for help!

Yes you need the Zender BIOS for the 6205 to work.
