Yet another US government disaster...
Re: Yet another US government disaster...
VPNs are easily tested. Try Browserleaks.com. Like anything, it helps to know what you're doing so doing and doing a little homework about what a VPN is and what it does before paying for one is a good idea. If the VPN provider supports setting it up in a router and provides .ovpn files for use in Linux and with generic OpenVPN software, that is a good sign. Most provide easy to use client software that is sometimes of questionable quality.
Just using HTTPS is not the same as using a VPN. If a VPN is set up correctly, the ISP will just see the connection to the VPN and nothing more. With HTTPS, the ISP will see all kinds of meta data and know where you connect even if they can't see the content. Even that is not a sure thing. Read the article from Eff I linked to earlier about the legal man in the middle attacks that an ISP could possibly do.

Re: Yet another US government disaster...
Well, Bernie Sanders came pretty darn close to becoming a Dem's presidential candidate...and the person who was in charge of undermining his campaign is just as Jewish as he is...so no, that aspect really has next to no bearing on the matter.

Re: Yet another US government disaster...
bernie sanders was never close, he didnt have anywhere near the delegate support clinton has
and secondly, someone like wasserman schulz, let's see how much she's hated by the 63 mil. who voted in 45
trump ran on a racist antisemitic campaign, and won.
Le Pen did the same and lost to a 65% majority
says it all really
i put it to you that there's at least 60 mil. who may not be racist or antisemitic or anti muslim but when push to comes to shove, these issues arent important enough to vote against
i also put it to you that there are millions of americans are completely against anything trump supports, many are even on this forum

Re: Yet another US government disaster...
He was close enough. Clintons would have pulled the same thing against anyone else. Sanders being Jewish had nothing to do with it.
She's universally hated by Sanders' supporters, more so than anyone on the Trump side.and secondly, someone like wasserman schulz, let's see how much she's hated by the 63 mil. who voted in 45
Haven't seen any anti-Semitism during Trump's campaign whatsoever, and I've been watching pretty closely.trump ran on a racist antisemitic campaign, and won.
Now that one I haven't been watching as closely, but haven't seen any anti-Semitism there either.Le Pen did the same and lost to a 65% majority
I don't quite understand where you're going with this...the idea that there was any *significant* amount of racism left in the U.S. died the day Obama was elected. Period.i put it to you that there's at least 60 mil. who may not be racist or antisemitic or anti muslim but when push to comes to shove, these issues arent important enough to vote against

As for what people vote for...you have to understand how much Clintons are hated before you take the debate in any other direction, IMO.

Dear Sir,
This statement to me, is amazing.
We have the internet here. We hear what happens. We have the internet outside of the US you know. The American South exists.
If you can make such a statement with such conviction says it all about you.
There's not point me ever trying to engage in any discourse with you again.
Thank you.

Re: Yet another US government disaster...
I'm glad that you find it amazing, but have failed to respond to any of my previous points, such as when Trump was ever anti-Semitic during his campaign. Crickets is all I hear.
We have the internet here. We hear what happens. We have the internet outside of the US you know. The American South exists.
And everything that one reads on the Internet is true, right?
As for the South, it certainly does exist but it wasn't The Nasty Old South which elected Trump. His victory came from areas that have voted Dems for a generation, such as Pennsylvania and Michigan. Where the Dems have failed to address any of the major concerns that the citizens had. Will Trump do anything about them? Remains to be seen, and I'm not overly optimistic in this respect. What everyone knows is that Mrs. Clinton would've done absolutely nothing.
If you can make such a statement with such conviction says it all about you.
As a non-American who has been living in the U.S. for almost two decades now I do believe that I maintain some sense of perspective on what is *really* going on around here. No unconditional love for any politician, and definitely no rose-coloured glasses in front of these old eyes of mine.
I have worked in ghettos. Spoken to people who live there. Listened to their favourite radio stations. Broke bread with them. Me, a middle-aged white man with an unusual accent. Learned a lot from them, in more ways than I could ever put in words.
Someone who rides a high horse 24/7/365 can't be expected to understand what I'm talking about. So off they ride into the sunset, with the unspoken hopes of becoming the next John Wayne. Fare thee well.
There's not point me ever trying to engage in any discourse with you again.
Thank you.
You're very welcome. Rest assured that no loss on my end has been incurred.

Re: Yet another US government disaster...
All I want is to not have the united states destroyed. May not be the best country in the world, but for sake, can we just live without the fear of what the leader will do next. I live in america, not the 38th parallel, so why do I feel like I do.

Re: Yet another US government disaster...
The best thing about Trump is that he is also completely incompetant.
Its his right to load every seat in govt. with cronies and yet he hasnt.
Every day is an adventure with Trump. Let's see how long he can keep this up.
