Which mini dock?

So I'm looking to get a mini dock for my X230 laptop...just wondering what model # I should be looking for? I see a number of them listed on ebay with various options (USB 3.0, dual DVI/Display-port, etc.)

Are they all basically compatible?

There is also this older link here, which we believe all below "Series 3" docking equipment is fully compatible for X230 (and our T410) models:

In this ThinkScopes (2012) article:

1. Item #1: Series 3 Ultrabase
~Interestingly, it shows a X220 attached to this, so I would guess that this Ultrabase is compatible with X230 as well (see Item #2 below).

2. Item #2: ThinkPad Mini Port Replicator Series 3 (Product no: 4336-xxx).
~We have a working unit of both X230 and this Item #2 at hand, and we can confirm that this Item #2 is compatible with X230 (and our T410 also).
~We bought the slightly earlier USB 2.0 version of this Item #2. (Slightly later versions apparently had USB 3.0)

3. Item #3: ThinkPad Mini Dock Series 3 (Product number: 4337-xxx).
~I've heard that that this Item #3 is compatible with X230 (and T410).
~There had been some persistent chatter about some hissing sound/noise when plugging the 2.5mm earphone jack into this Item #3 Mini Dock.
~(We seriously considered this Item #3 Mini Dock as well).

Summary:

• All Series 3 docking stations and the Ultrabase Series 3 support the X230.
• USB 3.0 on the dock is available only on the Series 3 Mini-docks (4336-15W / 4337-15U / 4338-15U/-35U).
• The Ultrabase does not have USB 3.0.
• The hissing noise from the audio jack has been resolved for the late revision mini-docks (USB 3.0 versions should all be free from it).

Does the mini dock fit/work with the extended battery?

The 9-cell battery (that sticks out the back?) Yes (as does the Ultrabase).

The slice battery that sits under? No.

Thanks...I've got the 9-cell and found pics of it on a mini-dock so I'm good.
