Running t400 With Screen Removed

#1 Post by KingBubba » Mon May 01, 2017 7:43 pm

I have about had it with trying to keep a desktop computer running as my printer server at the back of the house. My idea is to take a t400, remove the screen, attach it to my Samsung flat screen, add a mouse and keyboard and be done with it. I can setup Windows to use the flat screen ahead of the process. I then would remove the t400 screen and rock and roll.

Of course the question is will the laptop function separated from the screen. Any comments would be welcomed. Thanks.

It will work without the screen. IMO the main issue would be losing the wifi antennas, unless you're using wired LAN.

I have a t400 running without a screen. It runs fine.

The wifi antennas dangle out the back of the machine.
