Ericson F3507gg UMTS only ?

#1 Post by rychuu » Wed May 31, 2017 4:35 am

Hello,

I have bought used Ericsson F3507g WWAN card which I would like to use in Polish 3g networks. Mainly in city. Actually tried in city only. On bigger area.

Unfortunately after plugging it to integrated antenna in my x200 (7459-1p0 ) in Fedora 25 I see only "U" icon near the networks symbol. The network is slow, as UMTS.

Is there any limitation where that card will not use HSDPA / HSPA networks? I dont expect LTE, but the 2/2 mbit would be nice :)

Is there any Linux users who uses similar hw to mine?

I am using T-mobile WWAN card.

regards
I am using Lenovo t410 2518-4ju.

best regards

I don't use linux but from my experience you will find WIFI tethering on a smart phone with newer hardware is more efficient.

http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Ericsson_ ... and_Module

WCDMA 2100/1900/850MHz
GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz
Download up to 7.2Mbps

Its too hard for too little result.

I'm sure there's a way you can drop in a faster card but then whitelists... just tether.
