Interest in A31 possible "P"

#1 Post by jronald » Sun Jun 11, 2017 2:28 pm

Found this while I was pulling the T30's out. Its clean and is labeled as a A31p

HOWEVER:
The motherboard reports as a 2652-Q3U
READ THE ABOVE INFO!

Fired right up, the screen has significant discoloring at start up and only partially clears as it comes on line.
CMOS battery is dead, and its hollering about the wireless card I have installed. There is a 100% chance its an Atheros card that is in it.

Not sure what it is worth $75.00?

Thanks
Ron

Q3U was the second unit from the top down - Q5U being *the" top dog - from all of the A31 range. The only difference between the two was an integrated wireless card, which the Q3U missed. The rest of the stuff - IPS SXGA+ panel, 32MB VRAM version of ATi 7500 - was the same.

If you've swapped the lid with a wireless-enabled one, you have the Q5U disguised as Q3U.

Best of luck with the sale.

Pulled the type number from the BIOS, so Im thinking its NOT a "P", not trying to represent something its not....
Its clean, in nice shape for an old machine, less the screen.

Thanks
