Hello,
I recently got an X32 and installed the Hitachi 7K60 on it. There is no heat problem but I do feel there is excessive vibration, especially on the left side. I notice this particularly as a tingling sensation while resting my left palm just below the keys.
Not sure if this is due to the 7K60 or fan. Anyone else facing this? Any solutions ?
If I cannot get used to it then I'll probably try a slower drive.
tia and also many thanks to all the contributors of this forum,

It's the drive. All 7200rpm drive users experience this in the x3*s.
Solution: You learn to live with it. After time, you hardly notice. Sacrafies you have to make when you blaze at such a high rpm :> I'd never go back to 4200rpm.

I put a 7K60 in my X31 and I can't hear or feel it.
Ive seen some comments about this kind of problem before that had to do with how the drive was sitting in the caddy.
The cure was to remove the caddy and reseat the drive making sure that the bottom of the caddy contacts the HDD. The plastic film in the caddy is supposed to asorb some noise and vibration.
