t30 w/ intel 2915ABG mini pci, help please

Hi all,
I just got a used t30, i put in a new hd and installed xp pro. I bought the intel 2915ABG mini pci assuming that it was compatible w/ the t30. I installed the drivers that came with it (intel proset/wireless v 9.0.1) before installing the card, machine boots fine. (xp pro)

Can you guys tell me what else i need to get this thing working? i've never dealt with wireless/laptops. I also installed ibm access connections (3.71 i think) if it makes any difference.
In my task menu i have both icons
1) intel proset wireless: tells me that there are "no supported wireless adapters available in the system"
2) ibm access connections has the same problem

What do I need to do? Please help.

Having three IBM Thinkpads, one of which is a T30, I contacted IBM support to upgrade the wireless and they informed me that the only mini-pci card that is available is the 802.11b card. The cards are proprietary and a generic mini-pci card will not register as valid. A solution is to get a a external card bus card.

uninstall access connections and ibms proset and get the newest drivers from intel.

I had the latest intel drivers installed 1st before i installed the ibm connections, and it gave the same message "no supported wireless adapters available in the system".
Does anyone on this board actually has this combo working?
