Indentify dead pixels

#1 Post by felipeudel » Tue Jun 21, 2005 11:58 am

Hey guys, I am waiting to receive my T43 SXGA+ 14" in a couple of days. I have seen numerous posts about dead pixels and would like to know from you gurus how you identify the dead pixels? What is the best way of doing checking for dead pixels?

Thanks in advance.

Well...
You can use Microsoft Paint (Built into XP).
Put up white, black, red, blue and green screens, stretch them 200 percent horizontal and vertical, then do VIEW BITMAP to remove the menus.

Or...
Search on the web for "dead pixel test" or "dead pixel tester".
There are tons of them out there, tiny little programs that basically do the above for you, and cycle through the colors. Titles such as DEADPIX and DPT come to mind.
