thinkpad T42 2373 docking station

guys just want to know the difference between these two port replicators/docking station:

im planning to buy one. i know the first one has the adaptor included and the second one does not have. except for the adaptor, what is their difference?

btw, my notebook is T42 2373-K5A. I would assume that this two is compatible. right?

There are a couple of differences, the most important of which is the USB ports. The minidock has 4, the port replicator only has one. There is also a key to lock the computer into the docking station on the minidock and this is not available on the port replicator. As you mentioned, the minidock comes with the power adapter allowing all thinkpad models to get power through it versus the port replicator for which you need the right power brick.
