Give your mind a break

#1 Post by Laptop_wizard » Fri Jun 24, 2005 6:41 pm

Hey Guys, Lets take a break from all these intense Laptop postings, and think of something that gives your mind a break. For instance your faviorte sandwich, that's right your faviorte sandwich.
I like mine with turkey, and a mix of my own salsa.
(salontro onions Lime tomatos cabbage jalephenose) and BOY is it tasty.
I also Have developed an awsome pattern. First the bread, then a slice of cheese, then 2 slices of meat, then pickels and onions, mustard , the lettuce, then tomatos, then salt and pepper, and then mayo on your top slice of bread. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH boy is that GREAT.
Tell me what you guys like :?: :D

I've always liked best some pepper ham and salami either on a white or sesame sub roll or on white bread. This is pretty uch my typical lunch throughout the schoolyear.

I'm also very partial to muffalattas (I had one for dinner about an hour ago infact) which is rather funny considering I hate sour olives alone, I can't stand baloney (I'm spelling it as it should be, whoever came up with "bologna" is a dummy) and mayonaise has never been a favorite for me yet when you trow them all together, add some ham and salami (my favorite sandwhich meats) and put it on sesame bread, it comes out pretty good. I guess if you mix enough of what you hate together, you'll get something good.

I like my sandwiches hot. I am somewhat skeptical of the contets of cold cuts, particularly the chemicals used as preservatives, so I tend to stick to grilled things like chicken or cheese steaks.

Grilled chicken on a long roll with lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard is makes a very good meal :)

This is my favorite sandwich - probably my favorite because it's what grandma used to always make for my brother and I for lunch when we were little. :)

2 slices of white itallian bread with butter and 2 slices sweet lebanon bologna and 1 slice white american cheese. very simple but, to me anyway, very good. :)

Since it officially turned summer here this week, I'll start off with my favorite summer sandwhich, the tomato sandwhich. Wheat bread, lightly toasted; light mayo (I've noticed a little more tang than reg mayo); slice(s) of tomato; then garlic salt, black pepper, and oregano. Heaven.

I think my all time favorite though is the grilled cheese, aka God's Grilled Gift. So simple, so flexible.

Either a foccacia or a panini would be nice, regardless of the fillings :D

Smoked meat sandwich from Schwartzs in Montreal.

But I would settle for a good baguette or bagel in the Bay Area.

This is from an old girlfriend's Uncle's restaurant. It is "The Hungry Greek". A hamburger made oblong so as to fit a French roll. Put a little mayo, some lettuce, and sprinkle with fresh lemon juice. Very tasty.

A hot pastrami and swiss cheese on a good pumpernickle bread with deli-style mustard.

Or!

A hot corned-beef and swiss on a good, chewy rye bread with deli-style mustard.

Served at the Broadway Deli in Manhattan.

I prefer a turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pepperjack cheese with a very light coating of mayo and Grey Poupon on 12 grain, whole grain bread. I could live on it!!

A real Philly Cheese Steak.

None of that other immitation stuff even compares.

Edit: no clue how they ship them... I would never do that personally, get online, look at photo's of the famous people who visited, and wait for it fresh.
